Time:
With heavy hearts, we witness a historic turning point that will forever alter the global balance of power. The imperialists now stand without opposition, and the world enters an uncertain new era.
"We must be ready to face the challenges ahead, for we no longer have our mighty ally by our side. The Soviet instructors stationed here in Lamang will soon return to their motherland to support their people in this difficult time. But do not fear, my fellow citizens. We are strong, as we proved when we triumphed over the British. If history dares to repeat itself, we shall emerge victorious once again," declared President Raksmei Sayavong.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our leader for his words of reassurance, and we thank the Soviet people who stood beside us in rebuilding our nation and helping to raise it to new heights.
Workers React
Grief echoes across Lamang as the nation mourns the loss of a brother state.
"We, the workers, feel as though we have lost a member of our own family. The USSR stood with us when we reclaimed our homeland, and now we bid farewell to a cherished ally. May the Soviet workers remain safe in these uncertain times," said a representative of the workers' union.

Our ally has fallen. It always seemed the USSR would stand with us forever. But, like a tale from Russian literature, the Soviet Union has met a tragic end.
The imperialists have done it; they brought down their greatest adversary. No doubt Washington and London are celebrating wildly, convinced they've won the Cold War. They probably believe the whole world now belongs to them these damn Anglo-Saxons.
But the world is shifting, and their illusion of power will fade. The struggle for independence among the oppressed will continue. Imperialist guns and tanks do not intimidate the proud nations of this earth.
Still, the world has lost a peaceful nation that once worked to preserve balance.
Farewell, comrades. You will be remembered.
