A new community-created Winds of War Briefing Manual is now available for Gray Zone Warfare players. Released alongside the game’s latest update, the manual serves as a practical reference for both new and returning Operators looking to understand the updated systems, mechanics, and gameplay flow in Lamang.

To support the release, a group of well-known community creators helped expand awareness by producing companion videos, tutorials, and guides. Damnit Bennett, Goodboi, Noice Guy, SiNister, and TroubleChute each contributed valuable content that mirrors the topics found in the manual, from gear handling to tactical movement, making it easier for players to see systems in action before deploying.

The manual itself is thoughtfully organized with a clickable table of contents, allowing players to quickly jump to the information they need. It covers a wide range of gameplay topics including how to get started at the FOB (your base), choosing and switching factions, unlocking landing zones, and understanding control layouts. It also provides guidance on night vision goggles, suppressor setup, armor protection levels, and gear durability. All key to surviving the game’s realistic combat environment.

More in-depth sections explore the updated health system, which introduces vomiting, bleeding, fainting, and performance-affecting injuries. There's detailed information on ballistics updates, such as bullet tumble and organ-specific damage, as well as strategic systems like Strike Missions, Combat Outposts (COPs), and PvEvP Conflict Zones. Each section is structured for fast reference, especially during live gameplay.

The manual also highlights recent additions like new firearms (SIG MCX, MP7, SVD), over 80 weapon parts, and new calibers (.300 Blackout, 4.6×30mm). Additional topics include the use of tracking tags to recover lost gear, realistic weather effects, vendor functions (including the rotating “Vulture” trader), and features like body dragging, gear repairs, and faction armband identification.

While not an official document, the manual was created to support the community with reliable, easy-to-use information. Players can access the Winds of War Briefing Manual Here
