We've been heads-down while building out a full competitive layer for the squad scene on GZW|.NET, and it's finally ready for play. This is one of the biggest community feature drops we've ever shipped at a single go, integrated suite that turns squad-on-squad action into something you can actually watch, climb, bet on, and remember.

Here's what's new.

TOURNAMENTS & LIVE STREAMING

Squads can now sign up for one-off tournaments Holiday Havoc, Founders Cup, Friday Night Fights, you name it. Staff configure the bracket size, format (KOTH single-elim, Bo1/Bo3/Bo5), prize pool, and signup window. Once signups close, the bracket is generated, seeded, and published.

When a match is happening, staff can drop a stream URL onto any match in the bracket. That match instantly lights up green with a LIVE indicator, and a WATCH overlay appears on hover. Click it and the stream pops up in an embedded player, comments sidebar included so the whole community can watch the match together without leaving the site.

The championship match gets the full treatment: a glowing center pillar in the bracket flanked by both finalists, a pulsing gold trophy box, and a dedicated stream popup styled in champion gold.

CHALLENGE LADDERS — 4V4, 8V8 & 16V16

This is the heart of the system. Three ranked ladders for the three squad sizes, running concurrently each season.

• Squads opt in to whichever ladder they want to compete on
• Issue challenges to other squads at any time pick a date, pick a slot, lock the rosters
• Win/loss adjusts your ranking points (+25 for a W, -15 for a loss, -25 for a forfeit)
• Provisional status for your first 5 matches, then you're rated for real
• Live up/down arrows on the leaderboard show week-over-week movement

The leaderboard pages for the top 3 (champion, silver, bronze) with animated crowns and corner brackets, plus an esports-style leaderboard list below showing rank, momentum, squad, points, and W/L bar with win rate. It's the kind of page squads will screenshot and post.

HALL OF FAME

Every tournament champion. Every season ladder champion. Forever.

The Hall of Fame archives every crown so legacy squads always have their place in GZW|.NET history. Two main sections:

• Tournament Champions gold cards with the squad logo, tournament name, and date crowned
• Season Ladder Champions cyan cards showing the squad, season, and which ladder size they topped

Plus two bonus leaderboards on the same page: Top Lifetime Wins (cumulative across all seasons) and Top Points (Per Season), so the all-time grinders get their flowers too.

WAGERING — DYNAMIC ODDS ON LIVE MATCHES​

You don't have to be playing to be invested. Wagering opens on tournament matches and ladder challenges so you can put your community points on the squads you think are going to take it.

• Dynamic odds adjust in real time as more wagers come in the favorite pays out less, the underdog pays out more
• Bet through match start, then odds lock and the pool is settled when the result is in
• Winners split the pot proportionally to their stake and the locked-in odds

BRACKET PREDICTIONS​

Before each tournament locks signups, predictions open up. Pick the winner of every match in the bracket — round 1 through the final — and put your name on it.

• Free or paid entry (points) (staff configure per tournament)
• Points awarded for each correct call, bonus for nailing the champion
• Live leaderboard of who's prediction-bracket is on top after each round resolves
• Payout from the prediction pool when the tournament closes

Settle the "who's actually got the eye" debate once and for all.

+ STORE, BANK, SEASONS, DISCORD​

The points you earn (winning, betting, predicting) flow into a squad bank. Each squad can pool what its members earn, then spend it in the points store on cosmetics, trophies, banner upgrades, and other community gear staff configure.

Seasons reset the ladders periodically top 3 from each ladder get etched into the Hall of Fame, then everyone resets to provisional and the next race begins.

A Discord webhook integration fires for the big events: tournament announcements, championship results, season closings, dispute resolutions so the action shows up where the community already hangs out.
