One year ago, GZW|.NET opened its doors. A fan-built community hub with a stubborn idea, that Gray Zone Warfare deserved a real home base on the web. Somewhere you could find intel, link up with a squad, trade gear, track patches, and actually get back in the fight faster.

THE YEAR IN REVIEW
Here is what went from idea to live in twelve months, all of it shaped by community feedback and community contribution.
Squads & Coordination
The Interactive Ballistics Tool (v.2.05).
Every round, every armor class, every distance. Penetration ratings against all helmet and body armor levels at multiple distances, velocity and dispersion stats, trader sources, and NIJ standard context so the numbers actually mean something. One of the most-used tools on the site, and it got there because operators kept feeding us data and asking for more.
The RedLeg Files.
The community-run intel and lore archive. Every scrap of in-game newspaper, every wall of untranslated Lamangese, every piece of world-building you stumble across now has a place to live and be searchable.
News Coverage.
Patch notes, hotfixes, dev diary breakdowns, announcements, and analysis, logged and searchable from day one. If it happened in GZW this year, it is here.
The Marketplace.
What started as a trading post became something none of us expected. Buyers, sellers, reviews, wipe cycles, the whole deal. Watching the community turn it into a real economy was one of the best things about this year.
None of this happened in a boardroom. It happened because operators showed up.
You posted finds. You submitted lore. You ran squads through the Mission Calendar and told us what was clunky. You traded on the Marketplace and reported scams. You tested the Ballistics Tool with real loadouts and told us when the math looked off. You filed bug reports, requested features, and every single time you said "what if the site could do X," somebody went and tried to build it.
That is the whole engine right there. A fan site only works if the fans are the ones building it. You did.
Think about everything in the list above. Squads. The Deployment Board. The Mission Calendar. The Battle Board. The Ballistics Tool. The RedLeg Files. The Marketplace. The Discord bot. News coverage. All of it built in twelve months, and almost none of it would exist in the shape it does without community feedback pushing it there.
That is the part we are most proud of, and that is the part that has us excited for Year Two. We are not going to sit here and promise a roadmap we have not locked in yet. What we will say is that the same model keeps working. You tell us what you need. We figure out how to build it. Then it shows up on the site.
Whatever Year Two ends up looking like, it will be shaped by the same operators who shaped Year One. We cannot wait to see what gets built next.

- Squad Pages. Full squad profiles with VOIP, messaging, rosters, and persistent mission history.
- The Deployment Board. Open squads looking for operators, operators looking for squads, no more Discord DM roulette.
- Mission Calendar. Schedule ops, set times, invite your squad, track who is rolling out.
- The Battle Board. A live tactical map of Lamang built right into your squad's missions. Pin objectives, draw routes, lock in the plan. This thing alone was months of work.

- The GZW|.NET Discord bot. Slash commands for items, ballistics, traders, quest lookups, and more. Pop it open mid-raid and check if the thing you just picked up is worth carrying out.

231 threads. 827 messages. 560 registered operators. And those are only the people who signed up. Plenty more have used the tools without ever making an account. Every one of those counts.WHAT MADE THIS WORK
